The composition, safety and communication strategy of products intended for infants and young children are strictly regulated at both national and European level and all additional measures of the general food legislation (contaminant levels, microbiological standards, etc.) apply.     These foods include solid foods in a wide range of flavours and textures. They are specifically designed to limit the amount of salt, saturated fat and sugar, but also to provide the right amounts of protein, carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and minerals for this age group.
